Nintendo Wii controllers?

Ok, i’m confused in terms of what would be more of a worth while investment. Right now i only have to Wiimote, and the nunchuk.
I really want to get Mario kart, so that way i have the wheel…..but i would also want to play against my brother to. So can i buy and hook up the classic controller for 2 players? (rather than the almost $50 for another wii mote)
Also, im planning on getting Brawl, so same situation there.
And if i were to get the classic, would that work with majority of the games?
I was reading alot of these questions, is it true that the classic controller is mostly for online? also, i have to connect the classic to the wiimote? Can’t i connect directly to the console, so that way two people can play at the same time?
More than anything, i just need the which ever options saves me the most money, because i am paying for all this myself
Thanks!
I almost forgot to ask..if i get the Brawl, can i play that using only the remote, or would i have to use the nunchuck with that?

Just buy one controller. If you were to get a classic controller it would need a wiimote to connect to it anyway. Plus classic controller only works with the minority of wii games. a second wiimote is exactly what you need. I was in the same situation but i bought the Wii Play + Wiimote bundle for only $10 more than just the wiimote so that way i got an extra game too :)

You know what, for games like Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl, forget the Wii Classic Controller, just get a regular Nintendo Gamecube controller! I bet you it’s cheap (it was for me, even if there was like one left at a EB store)! It is far more comfortable to use, buttons are colour-coded to make it easier, unlike the Wii Classic Controller that has blant gray and white for all the buttons!

You will save lots of money from buying more Wii remotes and Classic Controllers simply with a regular Gamecube controller, which should only be like 20-30 dollars at a reasonable store! If you want the wireless Wavebird controller, though, another version of Gamecube controller, you may need to pay a little more…

However, if you wish to play some SNES games from the Virtual Console, I suggest you consider maybe one Classic Controller, because this controller is shaped like an original SNES controller, and the button configuration may be only suitable and comfortable with the Classic Controller! Otherwise, get Gamecube Controller at your nearest EB, Gamestop, or Wal-Mart, where it should be cheap!

I got a Wii and I know I like using Gamecube controllers more than Classic Controllers, with the exception of SNES games that I play, which are recommened with the Classic Controller! Super Mario World for example is impossible with Gamecube Controller!

Hit up ebay and get yourself a Wavebird (the wireless gamecube controller). You get the best of both worlds, wireless, and a great controller. No hardcore gamer would be caught dead playing mario kart or brawl with the wheel or wiimote.
